The accused is said to have choked the woman and stabbed the man to death, before stuffing them into a cupboard, where they were discovered on 4 April. His motive is unknown, but may have a financial background.

A European arrest warrant was issued as soon as the Spanish man Juan was accused, and so he was picked up by the authorities in Spain, who will now decide on his extradition to Slovakia where he will face trial. He could then spend the next 20-25 years in a Slovak prison.
