St Patrick’s Day Celebrations; Not Just For the Irish

The third St. Patrick’s Day Festival organised by the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia, with the assistance of the Embassy of Ireland and numerous volunteers, will take place at Eurovea Shopping Center in Bratislava on Saturday 17 March from 12 – 6 pm. The event features performances by the Vienna Piper & Drummer Band, the Slovak Irish Dance Group Avalon, Keltieg Traditional Irish Band and The Brazen Head. Brilliant Stars International Kindergarden will be keep the little ones entertained with various children games.

After the fun-filled festival, Goblins pub (Dunajska 29) and The Dubliner Irish Pub will be the place to be, with 6 Nations Rugby matches, Guinness, green beer and live music. At Goblins the entertainment will be provided by The Brazen Head, with John Boyd as support act.

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Nitra

Students at the UKF University teamed up to celebrate St Patrick’s Day on March 13th starting at 3pm in the Gallery building of the University.

Performances will include Connemara Traditional Irish Dancing Group from Banska Bystrica, Rado Kovac from Phantoms Crew, Jude Connolly from the Brazen Head Band and many others.

There will be Irish music, photos exhibition, Irish food – CRAIC AGUS CEOIL!! `Greenest man and woman` and `who made the greenest food` competition with great prizes to be won!
