Tonight: Regular English Comedy Night is Back

The Baby Blue Banana English stand-up comedy nights are back with the regular monthly instalment of laughter on Thursday 22 September (8pm start).

This time comedian James Dowdeswell (UK) tops the bill, accompanied by Pat Burtscher (CAN) & Dave Thompson (UK). The regular venue is KC Dunaj, Nedbalová 3 (4th Floor), with tickets just €9 in advance or €10 on the door.

Opening the show will be Canada’s Pat Burtscher, an exciting and inspiring act, who is taking the comedy circuit by storm.  His confident delivery and deadpan brand of dark comedy wins over the toughest of audiences and his cleverly crafted material guarantees the laughs come hard and fast.

Our MC will be one of the best in the business, Dave Thompson. An accomplished comedian, actor and writer, Dave has appeared on numerous TV shows, alongside the likes of Harry Hill, Ben Elton and Al Murray and in the movie “Maybe Baby”, as well as recently publishing his first novel: “The Sex Life of a Comedian”. Dave is also famous for being the original “Tinky Winky” in the “Teletubbies” TV show.

Top of the bill – James Dowdeswell is an imaginative storytelling comedian. His TV credits include appearing alongside David Bowie in Ricky Gervais’ “Extras”, starring in the sketch show “Chaos” and most recently his new show: “James Dowdeswell – Black Belt In Wine.” Originally from England’s West Country, Dowdeswell has been bringing his unique talents to the world of comedy for over 10 years and has recently completed another sell-out solo run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. James is a charming English comedian who has performed his stand-up all around the world and we are delighted to get him finally on to the Baby Blue Banana stage.

This show will again be at our new venue, KC Dunaj, which is right in the centre of Bratislava, in SNP Square. The entrance is around the back in Nedbalová and then take the lift to the 4th floor. It’s a magnificent, purpose-built venue with a great bar and spectacular views over the city.

August’s show starring Mark Felgate saw a packed audience. We expect this show to be extremely popular again, so we strongly recommend making reservations early to avoid disappointment.
