Unemployment highest since January 2005

Slovakia’s unemployment rate accelerated in February, rising 0.18 percentage points over January to reach 13.16%, reports the Central Office for Labour, Social Affairs and Family today.

On a year-on-year basis, unemployment was up 0.19 percentage points last month, with overall unemployment figures the highest since January 2005. There were 350,969 people registered as unemployed at labour offices in February, which is 4,773 more than in January and 2,550 more than February 2010.
