The unemployment rate rose in Slovakia by 0.1 percentage points month-on-month to reach 12.34 percent in June, announced the Office for Labour, Social Affairs and Family (UPSVaR) today, 20 July. The increase translates at around 3,000 more unemployed.
This was the first rise, albeit slight, to be registered after three months in a row of declines, but the year-on-year increase is over 18,600.
The average duration of unemployment was 13.3 months in June, which is 2.59 months longer year-on-year.
