The Organising Committee of the 2011 World Ice Hockey Championships has reported two cases of stolen tickets for the upcoming championship in Bratislava and Kosice from 29 April to 15 May.
The first case happened in Bratislava, where 100 tickets were stolen from a company safe. The second case involved the theft of tickets from a car.
Neither the Organising Committee nor the official ticket seller Ticketportal take responsibility for the stolen tickets, and so they are warning fans that the serial numbers of stolen tickets will be recorded and confirmed by the police in their system. It will not be possible to enter the Orange Arena and the Steel Arena venues with these stolen tickets.
The only official ticket seller is the company Ticketportal and so if you get some other offer to buy tickets for the 2011 IIHF Championship, you should think twice because you will have no guarantee of getting in and could also be cheated out of your money.
