Wilsonic Festival is Back After Three-Year Break

After a 3-year break, the unique urban festival of electronic music WILSONIC returns on 15-16 June. This time the festival has a concept of a “big urban garden party with a club atmosphere” and will take place in the attractive area of the Design Factory Garden.

This venue started in 2000 and in 2008 and 2009 was recognized by the Resident Advisor, one of the world’s largest independent electronic online music magazines, as one of the best small electronic festivals, slotting Wilsonic in at number 2 in their Top 10 June Festival picks (just after the festival Sónar in Barcelona).

The founder of the festival,  Slovak DJ Tibor Holoda turned a club party into a two-day urban festival  with a capacity of several thousand people. In nine editions of Wilsonic we have seen some big names like Gus Gus, Daddy G, Jazzanova, Matthew Herbert, Ricardo Villalobos, Safety Scissors, Thomas Brinkmann, Digital Mystikz, Psapp, Jimmy Edgar, Junior Boys and Gustav. Unfortunately, financial issues meant the festival could not take place in the last two years.

This year the organizers have been discovering the line up gradually, name by name. The limited edition of 300 tickets was sold out immediately in a couple of days without any name being announced yet from the line up. Among international artists confirmed to date are brilliant musicians from all over the world including Henrik Schwarz (DE), Daedelus (US), Clark (UK) , Machinedrum (US), Trouble Over Tokyo (UK),  Alex Smoke (UK), Ikonika (UK), Elektro Guzzi (AT) , Mujuice (RU), Princess Chelsea (NZ), Instrumenti (LV) and many more. The local scene is represented by the talented Stroon, Herzog Herzog, Foolk, Karaoke Tundra, Milos. This year’s line up looks more that attractive.
