Last week the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) revoked the license of the securities broker Capital Invest with effect from 4 March, meaning it can no longer provide investment services.
Spokeswoman for the NBS, Petra Pauerova, informed that the central bank had taken the decision as the company had not satisfied the necessary conditions for the issue and retention of the license to trade in securities. Specifically, the NBS had reservations about the company’s technical, organisational and personnel capacities to undertake the business activity.
Capital Invest also did not settle its contributions to the Guaranty Fund on time or submit the legally prescribed reports to the NBS.
