Slovak swimmer Krizko banned for 2 years over doping test

Slovak swimmer Lubos Krizko has been banned for 2 years after failing a doping test that he was subjected to last year at the European Championships.

International governing body for swimming FINA announced the news on Saturday, imposing a 2 year ban backdated to 22 September 2010.

On 12 August 2010, Krizko was tested positive to a metabolite of Tamoxifen (Class S4.2 Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators SERMs) at the European Championships. Later on 13 December 2010 the FINA Doping Panel held a hearing in regard to his case. FINA took the decision based on the FINA Rules DC 10.
