Slovakia’s recent rival in the UEFA European Football Championship, Armenia, ratified an agreement last week on the establishment of direct flights between the two countries. The Armenian parliament endorsed the agreement, which was originally signed back on 18 March 2010.
The agreement should set out the legal framework for boosting and regulating air transport between Armenia and Slovakia, and so also boost economic and cultural ties. It was initiated by the national airline of Armenia as it wants to start flights to Slovakia.
