Latest statistics from the Statistical Office SR show that inflation was at 3.9% in April, keeping up the trend of acceleration seen in the past six months in a row. The 12-month average inflation is 2.1% so far.
Consumer prices of goods and services were up 4.2% year-on-year in May, being blamed mostly on the prices of food and soft drinks, which rose by 6.7% year-on-year. Transport also did its bit, with a growth of 6.13%.
