Property prices still falling

Residential property prices dropped again in 2Q 2010, although the decline is now slower. Whereas in the first quarter the average price of 1m2 of property feel by as much as 8.3%, in 2Q the downswing was just 3.7%, which means on a quarterly basis prices are down 0.23%.

The figures come from the National Bank of Slovakia, which also informed that average residential property prices had dropped by more than 11% last year.

As is to be expected, the highest prices are in the Bratislava region, where prices have not been so hard hit as in the rest of the country. The lowest prices were registered in the Nitra region (EUR 627/1m2).
