Velky Meder Set to Receive 700 More Jobs

The town of Velky Meder got some good news this week as its new industrial park got its first investor, German-owned company Webasto-Edscha Cabrio Slovakia, which should create around 700 jobs with its investment.

The company is already active in the town but will set up a new plant for the production of car parts as part of its expansion plans, after the local council agreed to sell the company 80,000 m2 of land in the industrial zone.

The news was announced yesterday by town council spokeswoman Szilvia Varagyova, as reported by TASR newswire.
